Description

These is part of a series is about honoring people and events of the past. It may not be exactly how that moment was but how you remember it. What happening here is my buddy Jeff and I were doing the old see if you can make your toys fly trick. This one is around 40 by 50 inches. Drawn in pen then colored in Photoshop.

Another great piece.
The distorted perspective works really well.
quite emotional too.
One minor crit would be that there are too
many flying toys in the air for my taste.:p
Excellent + 9

Gosh, you seem to have this great feel for perspectives. I think this is a good dynamic piece with lots left to discover.
How about throwing us a WIP some time, would love to see how your work eveluates into the final result. :)

What a great painting. I'm with Wallace about the number of distractions--especially the three large leaves near the top-left. Fun. And great perspective!

Wow...great perspective and lots of depth to this piece. I like the concept too. But while I like the orangy lighting on the leaves, I feel their angle between their stems and their surface is too sharp so they don't seem to be floating or flying.

I have never been able to give 10 until today and what a fiting person to give it to. you hit home with the memories, and the want to be a little bit more like you.

Parachuters away! LOL
I agree with  slaphapy5 about bringing memories...Ah, the joys years gone by :)
Good work on the bird's eyeview perspective and yeah...just too many "floaters" but still very good composition!

Very awsome perspective here. Well done. I remember my parachute fascination when I was a child.. Great job!

Wow, I think this is really well done. The combination of small details (the textured grass, for example) and simply coloured faces (the cloth over the toys for example) is cool. The colours are bright and fits with my imagination of this your childhood memory.
Good idea to make a series like this!

Thanks everyone im glad this one has gone over so well. I did some fixing to it by request. I took out the leaves in the upper left i think it opened it up alot more. Hopefully it looks better, thanks again.

well done man, i also like the memories of childhood =)
just a question: why are the lines of the house (which are curves in this 5 point perspective) like this. i mean the vanishing point is in the center of this artwork.
shouldnt they be the other way around?

whatever

Very VERY nice piece, this put a smile on my face! I love it, brings back some great memories! heck! i might go chuck one out my window now!

The colour, solidity and perspective in this really add that sense of adventure to it, very striking and warm! nice one man.

We all have childhood memories like these and they are priceless. Speaking of priceless, the look on the brown toy's face is glaring back at them as if to say "I hate you! Why me?!" is hilarious. Loving the toy dog in the dress too. It all reminds me of how cruel I was to my toys when I was younger. Great work!
